Join our community of university and local government partners for a workshop geared towards building new collaborative projects.
This half-day symposium is intended to create more deliberate opportunities for urban innovation projects that connect local government and university partners in areas of common need and interest.
The day will include
- An opportunity for local government officials to share their needs with leading university researchers looking for problems to solve and engage students
- Hands-on work sessions to further develop some ideas from our local community, chosen because they are critical needs of local government and active areas of interest for local researchers. Feel free to read recent research proposal abstracts on neighborhood revitalization and law enforcement technology to spur your thinking in advance.
- An overview of some new university resources available for local governments to solve pressing problems.
- An opportunity for matchmaking, where local government leaders can share areas of need and university faculty can share their research and service interests
