Digital Divide Simulation Overview and Feedback Session–KC Digital Drive
The Digital Divide Simulation is a “day in the life” interactive, immersive experience to move participants from being unaware of the extent of the difficulties of an analog life in a digital world to appreciating what it’s like to live without home internet access, digital skills and a device by role-playing living a “month” on the wrong side of the digital side of the digital divide. KC Digital Drive will present the background of the simulation as well as seek suggestions for improvements and how digital inclusion practitioners and advocates can best leverage it to move digital equity forward in the region and beyond.
- Overview of simulation (history, development, first event)–5 minutes
- Show video–3 minutes
- Members review persona packets and discuss in pairs–15 minutes
- Members share feedback and discuss ideas for how to implement this experience in the community–15 minutes
