The Kansas City Coalition for Digital Inclusion (KCCDI) is an open, collaborative group of organizations who foster digital equity and access to technology for Kansas City metro communities. KCCDI meets bi-monthly on the first and third Friday of every month to hear about the work of local digital inclusion practitioners, and share information about upcoming opportunities in the digital inclusion space.

FEATURED CONTENT

We have a number of great organizations in Kansas City that support our Hispanic and Latino community, and they have embraced the work of digital inclusion in different ways. The emphasis on serving covered populations from the Digital Equity Act has underscored the need to understand how a variety of organizations work to meet the needs of these populations. Three Hispanic-serving organizations will provide an overview of their digital skills programs and discuss the unique approach they take in meeting the needs of our Spanish-speaking community:

Guadalupe Centers: Gladys Esmeralda Jaggers, Director of Workforce & Adult Education

HEDC: Pedro Zamora, Executive Director

Latinx Education Collaborative/Revolución Educativa: Edgar Palacios, CEO & Founder

NEXT MEETING

The August first Friday KCCDI meeting will be held virtually on Friday, August 2nd, 2024.

Please email lscott@kcdigitaldrive.org if you have announcements to share at an upcoming Coalition meeting.
