The Kansas City Coalition for Digital Inclusion (KCCDI) is an open, collaborative group of organizations who foster digital equity and access to technology for Kansas City metro communities. KCCDI meets monthly on the first Friday of every month to hear about the work of local digital inclusion practitioners, and share information about upcoming opportunities in the digital inclusion space.

FEATURED CONTENT

Serving older adultsOlder adults remain disproportionately disconnected and on the wrong side of the digital divide as it relates to digital skills and device ownership. They are also more likely to be victims of online scams, leading to lower rates of adoption and use, and can struggle with physical limitations that make using technology difficult. Learn about the approaches taken by four organizations to effectively serve this unique population.

Panelists:

  • Marcus Flores – Parkville Living Center
  • Rachel Ohlhausen – JFS
  • Jessica Welch – Phoenix Family
  • Carol Meyers – KC Digital Drive

We’ll also hear updates from the Kansas and Missouri Office of Broadband Development and NTIA as well as any community announcements.

NEXT MEETING

The November KCCDI meeting will be held virtually on Friday, Nov 1st 2024.
