Philadelphia, PA — On Wednesday, September 21st, at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo, CableLabs announced its 10G Innovation Challenge winners including two local Kansas City area projects, both with ties to KC Digital Drive and KU, totalling $150,000 in prize funds. 

KC Digital Drive won the “Learn” category with a prize of $50,000 for its Metaversity Project with the KU School of Nursing, while MediView took home the contest’s Grand Prize of $100,000 for its Rural Breast Cancer Project in partnership with Dr. Jamie Wagner, Division Chief Breast Surgical Oncology, Vice-Chair Clinical Affairs, KU Medical Center, and KC Digital Drive. 

CableLabs issued a press release on 9/21/22 to announce the six winners of the 10G Innovation Challenge, who demonstrated how they will leverage the power of the 10G network to shape the way we live, work, learn and play.
