As generative AI continues to improve, it is important for community organizations to understand how to leverage these new tools to improve their operations and better serve their clients. As part of KC Digital Drive’s Community Technology Action Network (CTAN), KC Digital Drive is hosting a workshop on AI basics for local nonprofits. This workshop will include:
- A brief introduction to how modern AI systems work with a focus on key concepts that help build intuition about what AI tools can and cannot do (15 minutes)
- A set of hands-on demonstration exercises for different AI use-cases like text summarization, internet search, video transcription and dubbing, image generation, and data visualization (60 minutes)
- A discussion with organizations who have begun utilizing these tools to understand their journeys (15 minutes)
