As generative AI continues to improve, it is important for community organizations to understand how to leverage these new tools to improve their operations and better serve their clients. As part of KC Digital Drive’s Community Technology Action Network (CTAN), KC Digital Drive is hosting a workshop for nonprofits on how to develop an organizational AI policy. This hands-on workshop will involve working through a template policy covering issues including:
- Approval & acceptable use policies
- Privacy & data governance
- Intellectual property & copyright
- Transparency
- Accountability & oversight
By the end of the workshop participants will have a lightweight organizational AI policy that they can institute at their own organization, as well as an understanding of the different issues raised by AI and how their organization can adapt its policies to promote the responsible use of AI.
