In the February 2015 Digital Health Innovation Forum, KC Digital Drive will take themes of innovation, connectivity, and consumer-engaged health and look at a significant trial in the Kansas City area.
This project directly connects consumers with health care providers through in-home monitoring and provides consumers with the means for engaging more deeply in managing and improving their own health status.
Our keynote speaker, Marjorie Skubic, PhD, will address the ability for consumers and providers to move from effective monitoring to active engagement as a result of the next-generation fiber-optic broadband available in the Kansas City area. Dr. Skubic is Director of The Center for Eldercare and Rehabilitation Technology (CERT) at the University of Missouri.
In support of Marge’s discussion, we also will have a presentation from Greg Corpier and Katie Boyer of Telecare Global. They will offer a perspective on some of the in-home enabling technologies and strategies associated with the project, as well as other innovative opportunities they are seeing in the marketplace for these kinds of approaches.
