Pathfinder Health Innovations is a local company working in the autism spectrum disorder (ASD) space with a software platform that supports practice management across Applied Behavior Analysis therapy implementations, Speech Language Pathology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Special Education therapy. This includes scheduling and billing, as well as documentation with real-time data collection and progress tracking. Since they’ve last shared with our team, they have acquired another company and transitioned to a model in which the founder passed the CEO responsibilities to an executive from outside the firm. Pathfinder is among a growing cohort of KC-based companies and researchers pursuing opportunities in the realm of ASD.
  • Tina Youngblood, CEO of Pathfinder Health InnovationsThroughout her career, Tina has been a driver of organizational growth and catalyst for positive change. She has provided focused, dynamic leadership in helping companies, at all stages of their lifecycle, achieve growth objectives by continually diversifying revenue streams, building engaged, motivated teams, and creating collaborative environments where innovation and excellence is expected and rewarded.

Tina was appointed CEO of Pathfinder in February 2018.  Before joining Pathfinder, she led several businesses in the Financial Services industry.  In her 10-year career at Zurich Insurance Group, Tina served in several management roles in the US and in Switzerland at the global headquarters.  She led the $1 billion turnaround of the US Direct Markets business, achieving a 30% increase in ROE and a double-digit improvement in employee engagement. Tina was the first woman to be named President of the $4 billion Programs and Direct Markets business, the largest and most complex business unit in Zurich North America.  She is a member of the 2016 class of the Kansas City Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business.” Tina holds a PhD in accounting with a minor in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Tennessee.

Every month, we bring together a group of health care stakeholders to learn and share about technology and innovation projects happening in the region–and occasionally related topics from outside the Greater Kansas City area. Our stakeholders include hospitals and the health care system, city and state government officials, health IT firms and other corporate partners, startups working in health and wellness, and other civic organizations. The meetings are open, though not widely broadcast. KC Digital Drive works closely with KU Med and Steve Fennel to program and plan the meetings. They generally happen on the last Wednesday of the month, 8:30-10:00 am at Mid-America Regional Council (MARC).
We send out an email agenda and calendar invite to this stakeholder list, which we loosely call the Health Innovation Team. If you wish to be added to the email list, please send a note to adeacon@kcdigitaldrive.org.
