The Kansas City Coalition for Digital Inclusion (KCCDI) is an open, collaborative group of organizations who foster digital equity and access to technology for Kansas City metro communities. KCCDI meets monthly on the first Friday of every month to hear about the work of local digital inclusion practitioners, and share information about upcoming opportunities in the digital inclusion space.
FEATURED CONTENT
Our August meeting will feature a planning and feedback session for the Mid-America ACP Outreach Project (MAACPOP), an FCC-funded initiative aimed at raising awareness about the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) internet subsidy. MAACPOP is built around a planned series of community engagement activities and a public awareness campaign aimed at driving ACP enrollment throughout the Kansas City metro area and in targeted rural areas across the states of Kansas and Missouri.
Mark Logan and Ghadeer Garcia with Idealect will lead discussion of creative campaign and media elements, and we’ll move into breakout groups throughout the session to gather feedback and input on how the campaign can support new and existing ACP outreach partners, and how practitioners can continue to help shape the program.
- Creative treatments and media approach
- Types of engagement activities partners have shared
- Partner survey for ongoing feedback and input
- ACP activity report and data tracking
- ACP outreach and engagement materials from a variety of partners
- Conversation about advocacy for extending the ACP benefit
