The Kansas City Coalition for Digital Inclusion (KCCDI) is an open, collaborative group of organizations who foster digital equity and access to technology for Kansas City metro communities. KCCDI meets monthly on the first Friday of every month to hear about the work of local digital inclusion practitioners, and share information about upcoming opportunities in the digital inclusion space.

FEATURED CONTENT

A discussion on critical focus areas during this pivotal time for funding opportunities. We’ll explore how we can stay engaged, strengthen partnerships, and work toward long-term sustainability as federal dollars begin to phase out.

Discussion topics will include:

  1. Covered Populations – Understanding the groups identified by NTIA under the Digital Equity Act competitive grants and how to better serve them.
  2. Metrics and Goals – Aligning with the state’s objectives for Digital Equity Act projects and identifying ways to measure success effectively.
  3. Anchor Institutions – Exploring the role of anchor institutions as vital resources and catalysts for advancing digital opportunity initiatives.

We will hear from Karen Altenhofen of MOKAN Goodwill, Rachel Olhausen of Jewish Family Services, Branden Mims of Greater Impact KC, Marcus Flores of Parkville Living Center, and Tom Esselman of DEPO-KC. Your input is also encouraged as we collaborate to drive meaningful and lasting outcomes.

NEXT MEETING

The February KCCDI meeting will be held virtually on Friday, Jan 17th 2025.
